About The Nomad Cafe
Husband and wife team, Otilio and Megan Gonzalez, have a true passion for food, sourcing locally, creating inspired dishes from scratch, and always keeping things fresh and interesting.

The Nomad Cafe is family-owned and operated in Melbourne, FL. Since opening in 2011, the refurbished gas station has become a downtown staple where locals go to mix up, whether it be for a business lunch or a fabulous dinner with friends.
Megan and Otilio, Owners
Otilio, Executive Chef, hails from Mexico. His childhood was rich in farming culture and instilled a great sense of the importance of where food comes from and how it is grown. Having been raised with traditional Mexican cooking techniques, he then traveled to New York, where he apprenticed under a talented Mediterranean chef.

Megan is from upstate New York, where she grew up with family traditions of working her grandfather's apple and maple syrup farm. Her family is of German decent, where many recipes were passed down from generation to generation. She completed culinary school, where she was trained in classic French technique and pastry arts.

The pair moved to Florida in 2011 and stumbled upon the abandoned gas station. They decided that to choose one type of cuisine to serve was out of the question, and The Nomad Cafe was born.
